What he did. Well, it's more like what he didn't do.
Somewhere in his geneusness he sent everyone home to work during COVID telling many of them that this was a perminent arrangement that would superceide COVID mandates. Go make an office in your home, buy a chair, desk monitiors and a computer. Work from a non local home? Just be 'AT WORK" DURING WORK hours and get your job done.
Things worked out. According to Economists at large, more actual work got done than when everyoen was in the same little area of cubes. It certainly impacted hardware costs, maintenance but allowed more square feet for labs and other facilities now that most of an entire floor was wokring from home.
Some folks sold their homes and moved closer to family understanding that this was not a temporary arrangement but a perminint new way for ARUP goiing forward. Many bough new homes closer to family and friends.
There was never an issue of it being a poor decision or a mistake. Some would and do take advantage everywhere they can. But the majority would tell you they not only worked longer hours but were more productive.
Then the corporate rush "back to office." All the big trade rags announced it's benefits, benefits like being able to look out from your office door and see people you know! Wow! What a thought!
Then arbitrarily Andy and herd sends them all back to the office.
But what about the concept of agreements and contracts? Some people are so terrified they are selling their homes for a loss just t meet the arbitrary deadline of Jan to be "back in office."

This site is created to meet the needs and demands by some people at PURA who are increasingly disappointed in the current rulers, aka Delbert and Fred. Part of the problem is just that, "rulers." Not government by law or consensus but absolute and unrestricted raw power.
